Lon Stickler reports on a winged creature story that was sent to him:Phantoms and Monsters: Paranormal Activity, Bigfoot, Mothman, UFOs and Other Unexplained Phenomena. Lon writes: I received the following email from a witness in Macon, GA on Sunday. Sounds familiar to a report I posted in July 2011 and included in my book Phantoms and Monsters: Cryptid Encounters. (I've bought Lon's book for my Kindle and am reading it now.)

"...6 years ago, a friend and I were on our way home at about 0030-0100 from a friend's house. We were on I16 right at the merger with I75 along the Ocmulgee River when we saw something dive bomb the car ahead of us. Right before it hit the car it flaired out bat-like wings that we somewhat transparent and flew off at a high speed to the right towards the trees and disappeared. During the brief encounter we could see a pair of glowing red eyes. We were dumbstruck and amazed. I've heard of the Mothman before but I had never heard of anything in Georgia, so I never really had many people to tell. I happened to come across your site and thought you might like to hear my story."
